The National Association of Northern Nigerian Students (NANNS) is a unified body that advocates for students’ rights, welfare, and interests from Nigeria’s northern regions. We are dedicated to building a supportive network that encourages educational excellence, ethical conduct, and social responsibility among our members. NANNS aims to foster unity, growth, and development among students and is committed to positively impacting academic and community levels.
At NANNS, we are focused on several core areas.
Advocacy and Representation
We actively engage with educational authorities and government representatives to address the concerns, challenges, and needs of northern Nigerian students.
Academic Excellence
NANNS promotes a culture of academic integrity by advocating against examination malpractice, as well as combating social vices such as drug abuse, cultism, and other harmful behaviours.
Vocational Training
We organize seminars, workshops, and training programs to equip students with essential skills that enhance their employability and prepare them for community leadership roles.
Community Engagement
NANNS participates in community initiatives and awareness campaigns that address vital issues such as health, environmental conservation, and youth empowerment.
Peace and Unity
We encourage peace-building efforts and conflict resolution in the northern region, empowering students to serve as ambassadors of unity and harmony.
Recognition & Award
We recognize icons of society’s development by awarding individuals and institutions that support community development.
